Its take anywhere from 36 hours to 3 weeks to fully cure the limewash. This varies each for each wall, shade you applied, number of coats and preparation taken prior to application.
Typically the longer is a better but at least 5-6 hours between coats are recommended but ideally 12 hours.
Yes, our brushes are specially designed for high water absorbsion and capture and apply much thicker coats of paint than a regular brush to help you achieve the best results.
Apply the limewash in spots like a flower of a peddle and then leave out a 10 mines or so and then use cris-cross brush strokes and fill the gaps. Please make sure to overlaps the lines to reduces the fuzziness
Yes, you can but please avoid shower areas and be sure to apply our top coat.
Prep Coat
Yes, prep coat allows that mineral layer for the limewash to cure and bring out that luxirous colour depth and the texture. Also helps with durability of the limewash.
Just one coat but thoroughly applied using a roller or brush, a brush would leave more texture once the project completed so, small roller would be a better option if you do not need a lot of texture
No, the prep coat must not be applied directly to fresh plaster. The prep coat is not a primer and it's low in opacity.
No, its a bridge coat that provides the adhesion and the mineral layer for limewash
Top coat
It's depends on type of a area you are referring to, we recommend every commercial projects that they applied a top coat because of the high traffic and lean on walls. Or a case of a wet room with possibility of occasional wash splashes.
Please use a brush, ideally a nylon brush (not the limewash brush), and apply thin coats. Add more coats if needed, but avoid brushing too hard, as the wet, jelly like top coat can lift the limewash from the wall.
