Pure Limewash – Made in Britain

A timeless mineral paint, handcrafted in Britain using only natural ingredients—just as it was meant to be, generations ago, before the invasion of plastic paint.

Our formula is preservative free, artifiical chemical-free, and completely breathable, making it ideal for heritage walls, modern interiors, and anyone seeking a truly non-toxic finish.

This is handmade pure limewash, crafted to perfection. Colours may vary slightly by batch, and our photography is all based on a warm light setting.

Application

Stir well before use; natural pigments may settle.

Apply to porous, unsealed surfaces like lime plaster, brick, or bare stone.

Lightly mist the surface with water before painting to slow drying and improve absorption.

Use a wide, soft brush and apply in thin, crisscross strokes for an even finish.

Allow each coat to dry fully before applying the next; two to three coats are usually ideal.

Care Instructions

This is a natural lime-based paint. Avoid contact with eyes and skin during application — lime is alkaline and may cause irritation. Wear gloves and eye protection when handling, and ensure good ventilation. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with clean water. Keep out of reach of children and pets until fully dry.

One 2.5-litre tin of our limewash will comfortably cover a standard plaste wall measuring 10ft x 15ft with two full coats. Limewash is designed to build up in translucent layers, so applying two thin coats ensures better depth, texture, and durability. Coverage may vary slightly depending on the porosity of the surface — more absorbent walls may take up a bit more. For best results, apply with a wide brush in sweeping, crisscross motions.
