Made-to-Order Products
At Limewash.com, every bucket of paint is OnDemand-tinted to your chosen colour and prepared individually to order. Because these products are made specifically upon ordering, they are exempt from the standard 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Accordingly, we are unable to accept returns or provide refunds once production has begun, except where goods are confirmed faulty upon our inspection.
We recommend that all products are used within 6 weeks for optimum results. Our limewash contains zero preservatives, which is why each order is freshly produced and dispatched directly to the customer to ensure quality is not compromised in storage or transit.
As we do not hold stock even for our standard catalogue shades- we are unable to accept returns to restock or resell, as this would compromise the integrity, freshness, and performance of the product.
We strongly recommend ordering a sample pot before purchasing larger quantities. This allows you to confirm colour accuracy and suitability for your specific surface, lighting conditions, and application method.
Order Changes and Cancellations
If you wish to amend or cancel an order, please contact us within 2 hours of placing it, provided that production has not yet commenced.
Where a cancellation is accepted, a 10% administrative fee will be deducted from the refund to cover payment processing and handling costs.
Once an order has entered production or has been fulfilled, it cannot be cancelled or refunded.
Incorrect Address; Return-to-Sender Policy
Please ensure that your delivery address is entered correctly at checkout. Orders returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, or where the carrier is unable to deliver and the parcel is returned to sender, will incur a processing and re-dispatch fee to cover handling and postage costs.
As our paints are made to order, refunds or cancellations are not available for such returns. Once the parcel has been received back, customers may choose to:
Have the order re-sent to the correct address upon payment of the re-dispatch fee, or
Collect the order directly from our premises at no additional cost.
Please double-check your shipping details before placing your order to avoid delays and additional charges.
Incorrect or Faulty Products
If you believe that the paint received has been incorrectly tinted, labelled, or manufactured, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery.
We will review the issue promptly and, where an error or fault is confirmed after checking the product condition at our premises, we will offer a replacement at no additional cost.
Our liability is strictly limited to the replacement of the affected goods.
Please inspect your delivery upon receipt and report any:
Transportation damage
Incorrect tint or labelling
Missing or damaged containers
Important : Please do not consume the product more than 10% if founds to be faulty or incorrect in colour.
Commercial Customers
For trade or commercial deliveries, any visible damage must be recorded in writing with the carrier at the time of delivery and reported to us as soon as possible.
Although not legally required for consumer orders, we recommend that all customers check their goods immediately to ensure any issues can be resolved quickly.
Limitations of Liability
Limewash.com is not liable for consequential or indirect losses, including but not limited to project delays or costs arising from mis-tinted or delayed products.
It is the responsibility of the applicator or contractor to verify that all materials meet the required specifications before use and that orders are placed in sufficient time to meet project schedules.
Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If a product is found to be faulty, you remain entitled to a remedy under UK law.
