Where Colour Meets Light
Our limewash paints are 100% VOC-free and made with natural pigments. These colours react beautifully to different light, creating a unique atmosphere throughout the day. Try applying your samples in a few different spots around your space to see how each shade transforms with the light.
Colour as Expression
Limewash is an ancient, creative art , natural, healthy, and beautifully imperfect. Each brushstroke celebrates tradition and craftsmanship, transforming painting into something deeply personal. We create our paints with these values in mind, allowing you to experience the joy of painting like an artist at work. It’s calming, addictive, and wonderfully therapeutic. So pick up a brush, embrace the rhythm, and let the beauty of limewash unfold, just remember the simple steps to begin.
Why We’re So Proud of Our 100% VOC-Free Paint
.We’re often talking about our 100% VOC free limewash paint, and for good reason. Each batch is made using natural pigments, clay, and chalk, which is what makes our paint truly special.
If you’ve ever noticed the watery, delicate texture of our paint, that’s the proof of its purity. Unlike conventional paints that use plastic binders, ours is entirely water-based. This allows the limewash to absorb beautifully into the wall, rather than sitting on top of it. The result is a soft, cloudy finish that lets your walls breathe naturally.
As it dries, the paint goes through a natural curing process, bonding with the surface instead of forming a film. This is what gives limewash its signature depth, texture, and gentle movement , no harsh chemicals, no plastic, just nature doing what it does best.
So, if you were wondering about the unique texture or finish, now you know , it’s simply the beauty of authentic limewash at work.
HOw to test your sample pots

Prepare your surface
Limewash performs best on matte white surfaces. Do not test limewash.com sample colours on glossy or silky surfaces, as the limewash will not adhere properly and the true colour or texture will not be visible.
We recommend applying our prep coat before testing your limewash sample and using our limewash block brush for the bestresults

Give it a good shake
Shake the sample pot thoroughly to ensure the pigment is evenly combined.
When testing your samples, avoid painting neat, hard-edged squares. Instead, use a brush to create a soft, feathered-out area that gently fades into the wall. This technique not only helps the sample blend more naturally with its surroundings but also makes it easier to repaint later. Most importantly, it allows you to see the true character of the limewash, its texture, movement, and depth , as it would appear across a larger surface.

Let it settle
Colour reveals itself over time. Spend a day or two with your samples, observe how each shade shifts with changing light from morning to evening. The right hue will quietly make itself known.
